ITINERARY

On arrival at JKIA International Airport or pick-up at your Nairobi hotel, you will be met by our representative and a professional English-speaking guide for a meet-and-greet and briefing on your safari. Depart for Tsavo East National Park and arrive on time for lunch at Ashnil Aruba Camp. The park is famous for its “man-eaters”. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions. The pair of male, maneless lions that, unusually, hunted humans rather than livestock, evaded traps for many months. Lt. Col. John Henry Patterson eventually shot the man-eaters, but the legend lives on. A variety of animals can be seen in the park, such as lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, serval, antelope, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostrich, gazelle, buffalo, elephant and many more. A variety of migratory and native birds can also be seen.
